Local Habit exists to spark a revival of local communities and the beauty they inherently possess by bringing people together over exceptional third wave specialty coffee. We want to be a catalyst to open people’s eyes to see the unique gift that is their community. We then want them to take the joy and good vibes they get from us out into their local town and GO MAKE SOMETHING GOOD HAPPEN!
We are local not because we were born here, but because we saw the beauty of this place and its people and chose to be local. We want to offer a sense of belonging, and give people an opportunity to grow and participate in the Local Habit brand.
While coffee is one of the most widely consumed drinks in the world, most people do not know that coffee is actually a cherry that grows on short trees. The coffee bean is the pit of the cherry! That cherry is picked, the pit processed through a variety of different methods, and then finally roasted to be consumed by you and me. When done properly, this results in spectacularly different flavor profiles between locations, processing methods, and roast parameters. The flavors even change year to year depending on the weather! There are two grades of coffee: specialty and commodity. At Local Habit we source only specialty grade coffees in order to give you the best flavor and experience available. Of all coffee grown in the world, less than 1% scores as specialty grade! We hope that you will let us guide you down the rabbit hole that is great coffee and introduce you to new methods and flavors!
Our Core Values
We will leave people better than we found them.
This applies to customers, team members, and the community at large.
We will always be positive and encouraging of the local communities where we are planted.
We will share our passion for local communities by providing a hub for gathering and showcasing the unique and beautiful talents, resources, and people of each locale where Local Habit lives.
We will take joy in bringing the highest quality third wave coffee experience to each locale especially where it is a novel and new concept.
We will pour coffee in order to pour into people recognizing that each person who encounters Local Habit is created in the image of God and deserves respect and love.
